Portugal, Spain and the Camino Magic!

Take onto a less beaten path by walking the Portuguese Way of this route, starting in Porto and reaching Santiago in 10 days.

The popularity of the Camino de Santiago has increased enormously after Covid hit: it has become a spiritual way of finding yourself and a way to feel free again. Although, its history goes way back, reaching the Pagan times when people simply wanted to see where the Sun went after setting.

From all over Europe pilgrims started walking to Finisterre first and later to Santiago de Compostela. Not only is this a unique experience because of the places you see and the spiritual meaning you decide to add to it, but also because of the people you will meet and the connections you will create.

DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

DAY 1: Land in Lisbon. Start enjoying local delicacies and the portuguese stairs.

DAY 2: Explore the city of Lisbon and Belem. If the weather allows it, spend some time at the local beaches.

DAY 3: Get to Porto by train/bus and get to know the city.

DAY 4: See more of this little gem or opt to take a trip inland towards one of nearby regions.

DAY 5 THROUGH DAY 14: Hike on the Camino, choosing between the Coastal or the Inland route!

DAY 15: Head to Finisterre and visit Santiago before taking a flight back to Lisbon/back home.

My best suggestion for such a long hike is get a map/guide for it, so that you can follow along the path and choose the best way depending on your energy level. It’s very hard to get lost, as there are tons of yellow arrows along the way, pointing to the correct direction, and people are extremely friendly, always ready to help you out.
